Tech International Marine Services (TIMS) is a well-established commercial diving
company. We offer a comprehensive variety of marine diving services efficiently, cost
effectively and to the industry’s highest standards.
Founded in 1988 by Guinness World Record Holder, Sameer Al Awam, who held the
title for the longest underwater swimming distance in scuba gear in 24 hours in 1985,
we were born from a place of passion, determination, and expertise.
In our 30+ years of existence we have amassed over 110 years of combined diving
experience within our team of experts. Our experience coupled with our dedication to
meeting the customers’ needs has helped forge trusting relationships with the likes of
Qatar Gas, Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) and Qatar Steel.
To assure exemplary results with every project both on and offshore, our employees are
trained to the highest level. Our diving personnel are all Health and Safety Executive
(HSE) and International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) certified. Our
Nondestructive testing (NDT) inspectors are all certified by Lloyd’s, American Society
for Nondestructive testing (ASNT) and Certification Scheme for Weldment Inspection
Personnel (CSWIP).
We also hold ABS, Lloyd's and DNV certifications for in water survey of ships and
mobile offshore units.
We are also the proud sister company of Pearl Divers W.L.L, one of the first recreational
diving centers in the State of Qatar. It is a PADI Five Star IDC Dive Centre which trains
and educates upcoming recreational divers, as well as diving instructors of the future.

Non-destructive testing is carried out to identify potential abnormalities underwater and ensure steel and concrete structures pass internationally standardized safety inspections for safety.
We can carry out NDT in both onshore and offshore structures. Our divers hold the required CSWIP 3.1U and 3.2U inspection certifications to perform class surveys on all vessels and moorings too.
Together with experienced divers we pride ourselves on using the latest equipment allowing us to perform measurements in many trick conditions including through coating up to 20mm thick with easy capability to relay data to the surface live.
